Melianthus major, South African Honeybush is one of my favorite plants. Its steely serrated foliage provides powerful visual dissonance next to Phormiums like Maori Sunset. It is a semi-evergreen shrub here in Zone 8 Seattle. It stands nearly 6 ft. tall.
